This role will be in the Digital Financial Services Department and the reporting line under Gender Lead DFS.

Karandaaz Pakistan is a not-for-profit organization, based out of Islamabad, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. The entity has been seeded by the Enterprise and Asset Growth Programme of UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and our digital finance initiatives are being funded by the Gates Foundation (GF).

Position Summary
The Women’s Economic and Digital Inclusion (WEDI) Initiative is Karandaaz Digital’s flagship platform advancing women’s economic participation through financial inclusion, digital public infrastructure, policy engagement, ecosystem development, innovation, and evidence generation.
The incumbent will provide strategic, technical, and operational support to the Gender Lead while supporting implementation of the WEDI portfolio and institutionalization of gender across Karandaaz.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Support & Gender Institutionalization
- Support implementation of KRN’s gender institutionalization agenda across departments.
- Coordinate on institutional gender action plans, workplans and strategic priorities.
- Support leadership engagements, Board and Management Committee materials, presentations and reporting.
- Track institutional KPIs and follow up on cross-functional actions.
- Provide strategic and operational support to the Gender Lead.
Project Management & Coordination
- Support the management of project timelines, deliverables, and workplans across the WEDI portfolio.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, partners, and grantees to facilitate smooth implementation of activities.
- Maintain trackers and follow up on action items to ensure timely progress against agreed milestones.
- Support the planning and documentation of meetings, workshops, consultations, and stakeholder engagements.
Operations & Portfolio Management
- Support operational and administrative requirements related to project implementation.
- Assist in maintaining project budgets, expenditure trackers, and financial records.
- Review and reconcile information across reports, budgets, and project documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support compliance, reporting, procurement, and documentation requirements in line with organizational processes.
Partnerships & Resource Mobilization Support
- Assist in stakeholder mapping and engagement with government entities, private sector organizations, development partners, and ecosystem actors.
- Support donor engagement efforts through research, preparation of background materials, and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to the development of proposals, partnership materials, and fundraising documentation as required.
Eligibility Criteria
Education & Experience
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, Development Studies, Finance, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 3- 5 years of relevant professional experience in program management, operations, research, consulting, development, or related fields.
- Prior exposure to donor-funded programs, digital financial services, women’s economic empowerment, or development initiatives will be considered an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to work comfortably with data and budgets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
