Huma Khalid

Huma has over 11 years of corporate and investment banking experience, working in leading banks in Pakistan including HBL, Standard Chartered and Faysal Bank. Her primary expertise is in structured finance, corporate finance, distressed debt re-structuring including debt-equity swap transactions, syndicate participation and project finance. Her portfolio specialization is in Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Agriculture and Services. She was the lead consultant in designing the Financial Innovation Challenge Fund (FICF)– run jointly by the Department of International Development (DFID) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). She has also remained engaged with the microfinance sector authoring articles to facilitate capacity building in the sector. Huma’s current assignment is Principal Credit at Karandaaz Pakistan, where she is involved in structuring funded risk participation structures, developing, and, structuring structured supply chain finance solutions with Financial Partners and Corporates, to help improve access to finance for SMEs, through viable bankable and scalable product structures.
